Plot: White Girl, a teenage tough, is in a Youth Authority medical facility, on her way to serve a 25-year sentence for assaulting and robbing her "johns." There she meets Cyclona, a gorgeous but deranged young lesbian, also on her way to a life sentence. The two escape, and head out to find Cyclona' s childhood protector in Mexico. Massive weirdness ensues.DVD Special Features: Widescreen, Actor Filmographies, Scene Selection, Digitally Mastered. Coulda used more stuff. The Good: "Freeway" was a hard act to follow, but "Trickbaby" does a stand-up job. It has the same demented sense of humor (the Barf Ballet has to be seen to be believed). Natasha Lyonne is terrific as the tormented, bulimic, belligerent White Girl. It' s a good thing, too, or the show would have been stolen by the wonderful Maria Celedonio. Her portrayal of the psychotic, necrophiliac, murderous, sometimes sweetly vulnerable Cyclona is amazing. Vincent Gallo is, as always, excellent in his eye-poppingly bizarre roll. The Grand Guignol ending will make you want to go out and buy an Uzi. And yes, this is another twisted fairy tale' "Hansel and Gretel," to be exact. Wait until you meet the witch! The Bad: "Trickbaby" doesn' t quite have the same momentum as the first "Freeway." It' s less manic and more meditative and hallucinatory. More sly. Still fun. A warning the sight of Vincent Gallo in a dress may strike you blind. Bottom Line: Girls in prison. Serial killing. Lesbians. Necrophilia. Cross-dressing. Mass murder. What' s not to like?
