Review: Fashionably L.A.

Dir: Tamara Olson

Cast: All of Tamara. s friends

Category: Independent

Reviewed By: Clay

Plot: A fake documentary that follows the trials and tribulations of five LA models.

DVD Special Features: Not available on DVD (true indie films aren’t on DVD). Reviewed on VHS.

The Good: If you are fifteen and would like to see a bunch of half-naked models prancing around this movie is for you. Lots of half-naked models and that’s never a bad thing.

Decent production value. For an indie film the sound is good and everyone seems to remember their lines.

The Bad: There is no plot since this is a faux documentary, but there is no tempo to the thing either. The film drags and I never really got very attached to any of the cast.

I think that Tamara was trying to highlight how hard and sleazy modeling is. Tell us something we didn’t know.

Bottom Line: Lots of nudity but that couldn’t even save this film.

Rating: two boxes of wine.
