Review: Diamond Men Cast: Robert Forster, Donnie Wahlberg Director: Dan Cohen Category: Indie Reviewed By: Clay |

Plot: Aging diamond sales man is asked to train his replacement. DVD Special Features: Directors Commentary, Deleted Scenes and Wide Screen option. Special features all work. If you are into indie films give the extras a go. The directors always put a little more to the commentary when it’s a small film. Good: This movie is all story. No action to speak of and all the emotion of the movie comes from the dialogue. If you like small movies that have a message go for it. The film is very indie. Everyone in the cast does a good job. The relationship between Wahlberg and Forster evolves naturally. None of it seems to forced. Great ending. I won't elaborate on what happens but it works nicely. Bad: This film starts slow. The plot builds upon its self and the pacing eventually works its self out. I don’t have a problem with the pacing but some might. Bottom Line: Nice little indie film… Worth watching. Rating: Three indie cocktails |
