Review: Blood, Guts, Bullets & Octane

Dir: Joe Carnahan

Cast: You. ve never heard of them

Category: Indie

Reviewed By: Frank

Plot: A couple of down and out used car salesmen are screwed over by life and their supplier. They decide to doublecross their supplier by stealing the cherry show car he entrusts them with.

DVD Special Features: Amazingly enough this film is on DVD. The only features are Wide Screen and Parental Lock but something is better than nothing.

The Good: Some great dialogue. Some gun play. Stoic FBI agents and blood drained dead South Americans. Potential Cocaine sale from back of bad ass convertible. You. ve never seen anything like it.

The Bad: According to my sources, this movie was made with less than $10k. That means the whole thing looks like it was shot as a really good home movie. Any given scene will reveal a curious mix of both under and over acting. In terms of production level, this film makes The Blair Witch Project look like Titanic. You. ve never seen anything like it.

Bottom Line: The best movie ever made with actors that never got paid. If you can get past that you. re set. Honestly the editing is pretty damn good for what he had to work with. From what I understand this film scored an A at the Burnips Community College film festival.

Rating: 5 of cheapest beers you can find.
