Review: Witchouse 2: Blood Coven

Dir: J.R. Bookwalter

Cast: Ariauna Albright, Andrew Prine, Elizabeth Hobgood

Category: Horror

Reviewed By: Clay

Plot: Four corpses are found buried in the woods. They have been dug up to make room for the new mall. Witch possession (a lot like demonic possession) takes its toll on the unwary co-eds working on this special project.

DVD Special Features: Wide Screen. Special Features include 2 making-of featurettes and a mini documentary on the director. Plus a few other worthless items.

If you have ever wanted to get inspired to make your own bad slasher film, these special features are great to watch. The JR Bookwalter bio details his early days of making video horror films in Ohio for a few thousand bucks or less. They show clips and all kinds of crazy stuff. A terrific view into the land of no-budget filmmaking.

The Good: This movie will drive you to direct your own horror film. If these retards can make this horrific movie, anyone can. Buy a digital camera, get your friends all liquored up, and have at it.

The Bad: Your cheesy slasher film needs three things to succeed:

  1. Blood and lots of it!!!
  2. Naked co-eds and lots of them!!!
  3. Naked co-eds running around screaming a lot!!

This movie had none of the above. The effects were horrific, the very little violence, and I don’t think anyone got naked.

I know that you are all sitting at home laughing that I even rented this hunk of trash. Well laugh all you want. It could happen to you. I got to the video store late on a Friday night and everything was check out. What was left? Gone in Sixty Seconds and Witchouse II. I rented the better of the two films. Beware, that is how you will end up renting this movie.

Bottom Line: Walk away from the video store… Read a book….anything… but don’t rent it.

Rating: This movie tastes of ass. Four boxes of wine.
