Review: Dusk Till Dawn 3

Dir: P.J. Pesce

Cast: Marco Leonardi, Michael Parks, Rebecca Gayheart

Category: Horror

Reviewed By: Frank

Plot: Same as the first one but slightly different. The film chronicles the lives of outaws and religious men in the time and spirit of the western.

The movie opens with Ambrose Bierse (Michael Parks) and why he is in Mexico. From there we see the outlaw Johnny Madrid (Marco Leonardi)

Fate begin to intertwine with the outlaw and the others during a stage coach heist. A preacher and his wife (Rebecca Gayheart) escape from the hold up with Ambrose across the desert. There are a million "crossing the desert" scenes in movies and they can be old but I liked this one.

They all arrive at a saloon in the far reaches of the Mexican desert. There things are not as they seem and the souls there will be tested. Some things are best left cryptic.

DVD Special Features:• Region 1 encoding, Color, Closed-captioned, Widescreen, Dolby, Surround Sound, Deleted Scene, Widescreen anamorphic format.

The Good: An enjoyable story with some good characters. The familiar bartending face of Danny Trejo from the first movie was cool to see. We get to find out where Satanico Pandemonium (played by Ara Celi) comes from. If you really loved the first movie, like I did, and you really like westerns you. ll enjoy this movie.

The movie is subtitled The Hangman. s Daughter. This is the difference from the first movie and the story that drives this one. It does a pretty good job and provides for a plot twist at the end.

You might remember Gayheart from a small part in Scream 2 and a part in Urban Legend. She always does a good job.

The Bad: The acting is OK for a horror flick but I don. t think I really cared about anyone in the film, except for Gayheart but the film didn. t let that work out. The character twists didn. t seem to work out clearly like they should have and didn. t seem to resolve themselves well in the end.

I. ve said it before but it is the same plot (I mean like remake same, like same same) as the first movie, just not as enjoyable.

Bottom Line: The Wild Wild West remake of the first movie.

Trust your instincts....From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman's...
