Counterpoint: Exorcist III

The Good: Since many of you Horror fans will have recently seen the re-release of the Exorcist and this could be a nice follow up to that. This movie really works best if you remember the first film.

There are some creepy scenes and this movie takes the high road on the gore and violence. The director goes for a more subtle approach to the horror genre and should be applauded for his efforts.

The Bad: I have to disagree with Lorelei on this film. While it tries hard it falls way short of creeping me out.

This movie has some of the worst dialogue ever written. George C. Scott delivers it all with so much passion you expect him to have a coronary at any moment. He has a tirade about a Carp that is so random that I had to play it twice to confirm I had heard it correctly.

The Bottom Line: Better than the rest of the Exorcist sequel... But that doesn' t say much.
