Review: Who Am I Dir: Jackie Chan Cast: Jackie Chan Category: Hong Kong Action Reviewed By: Clay |

Plot: The plot is cliché (go figure) and takes forever to develop. Jackie is a special op commando who loses his memory when his unit is double-crossed. Luck would have it he is the only survivor and the bad guys want him dead.DVD Special Features: Wide Screen, Dolby sound, Theatrical Trailer, Reviewed on video. The Good: The final battle between Jackie and two villains at the top of a Belgian high rise is great. The scene runs a good five minutes and it is classic Jackie Chan. You will learn all the reasons why you don’t want to fight in a suit and tie. Unfortunately that’s it as far as the good stuff goes. The Bad: The list of bad things in this movie is long and glorious so I will stick to the big problems. There is not enough action in this movie. Way too much time is spent developing a tired plot. Forget the plot and kick somebody’s ass. The action that we do get is really bad. There is one of the worst car chases ever put together. Actually when I think about it, both the car chases in this movie are really bad. Video was dubbed. Does not appear that DVD has English subtitles. Bottom Line: Rent one of Jackie’s earlier movies…. This one is weak. Rating: Two boxes of wine. |
