Special Features: No special features. DVD quality is passable and doesn’t distract from the movie. Plot: The blind master of the flying guillotine is going to avenge the deaths of his two students. The students where slain at the hands of the one armed boxer. Throw in a kung fu tournament and a spy for the king and this is a classic. Good: Any film that is based on a ridiculous mythical weapon is fantastic. The flying guillotine looks like a bee keeper’s hat with razor blades around the edges. The master throws it over his victims head and then gives it a yank. Pop!! Off come the head. Perfect. Talk about a movie championing handicapped peoples achievements. The final battle is a one armed boxer verse a blind guillotine master. Its good stuff. I could spend pages raving about the great Kung Fu tournament that is randomly dropped into the center of this movie. Wild Kung Fu styles of all varieties. Bad: My only beef with this movie is no blood. The heads pop off left and right but where are the geysers of blood. A few buckets of blood and this movie would be the best ever. Bottom Line: A must see! Rating: Five Kamikazes. |
