Review: In Crowd

Dir: Mary Lambert

Cast: Susan Ward, Lori Heuring

Category: Crime

Reviewed By: Clay

Plot: A crazy girl is given work release from the psycho ward at the local country club. For no apparent reason the local debutante take the psycho girl under her wing. Killing binge ensues.

DVD Special Features: Region 1 encoding (US and Canada only), Color, Closed-captioned, Widescreen, Dolby, Commentary by Susan Ward, Commentary by Lori Heuring, Production notes, Deleted scenes, Cast interviews, Music only track, Publicity gallery, Behind-the-scene footage, Widescreen anamorphic format

The best part of the special features is the commentary by the two leading ladies. This movie is so bad they can' t even take it seriously. Listening to the two of them make fun of the underlying lesbian current is priceless.

The Good: Everyone in this movie is very good looking. It' s like a really long Calvin Klein ad.

There are a few moments of suspense in this film. The biggest question is: are the ladies going to express their love or not? Tons of lesbian flirting but they never close the deal.

The Bad: A bad knockoff of Cruel Intentions. None of the cast is as good or wicked as the Cruel Intentions crowd.

This movie has far too little sex or violence for its own good. With the slow moving plot there should be something thrown in to spice it up.

Every character in this movie is a bad cardboard cutout. No depth, and no believability to any of this plot.

Bottom Line: Rent Cruel Intentions. A much better film .

Rating: Three boxes of wine.
