Plot: Five buddies go to Vegas for a bachelor party. We end up with a dead hooker and that’s where it all begins. I would tell you more but it would only spoil a truly wild ride.DVD Special Features: Closed Caption, Widescreen, Dolby sound and that’s it…. The Good: If you think you know what dark comedy is, just sit back and let this baby rock your world. This film is totally out of control and that’s the beauty of it. Berg does a great job on this project. He weaves a plot that has an ending that is like none other. I guarantee you will not guess how this movie is going to end until it is to late. The cast is awesome. Christian Slater is the king of dark charisma and definitely finds his zone in this one. I always enjoy movies where Christian is allowed to run free and Berg definitely has turned him lose. Cameron Diaz proves that she is more than just a pretty face. She is the bride from Hell and every married man will understand Jon Favreau’s situation. Cameron brings it hard in the second half of the movie and you gotta lover her for it. The Bad: Do not watch this film if you have a fragile constitution or are prone to prolonged bouts of depression. When I call this a dark comedy, I am understating the morbidity of it. This movie is way too intense for a lot of viewers and that’s why it didn’t do very well at the box office. Bottom Line: This is like watching a train wreck. You know you shouldn’t but you can’t help yourself. Rating: Four big cocktails |
