Plot: This is a total chick flick dressed up to be a nasty sex comedy. Jerry O’Connel is a sworn bachelor and for a bunch of inane reasons he is trying to get his friend Jake Busey to marry Shannon Elizabeth. Blah blah blah…. What is advertised as a movie in bad taste tries to become Sleepless in Seattle II.

DVD Special Features: No special features. I think my VHS had more stuff going on than this DVD.

The Good: Don’t watch the trailer of this movie. The few good jokes in this flick are destroyed by the preview. So I guess that means there are only two minutes of funny material in the movie. Sorry, but I think that’s true.

Jake Busey is good playing himself. He does a good job being the oversexed asshole guy. When the oversexed guy is all your movie has going for it, it’s bad news.

The Bad: The question is, did Shannon Elizabeth get an acting coach? Did her dad tell her to keep her clothes on? What the hell is going on? Shannon does not even come close to being naked in this entire movie. She is a terrible actress and you saw more of her on the MTV movie awards (god bless that pant suit). Remember Shannon, no one cares if you can act, they just want to see you naked.

This movie falls way short of being a dude sex comedy and doesn’t really commit to being a sappy chick flick. End result is it fails on both counts.

Bottom Line: Rent anything that has Shannon naked first.

Rating: Two Boxes of wine.
