Plot: Good Mutants against the Bad Mutants . It doesn' t get any better than that. There is a plot and it does a good job introducing all the characters and giving them some background.DVD Special Features: " Region 1 encoding (US and Canada only),Color, Closed-captioned, Widescreen, Dolby,Theatrical trailer(s), Deleted scenes, "The Mutant Watch" featurette, Excerpts from Bryan Singer interview on "The Charlie Rose Show", Hugh Jackman's screen test, Still photo gallery, TV spots, Widescreen anamorphic formatThe interface that leads into the special features is surprisingly long. I felt viewing the features was very cumbersome. Take note, when you watch it make sure you set the deleted footage to be in the film. I found getting the deleted scenes to work very difficult. The Good: This is a great comicbook movie. The world that the director creates is believable and works. The script is true enough to the characters that it should pacify the comic book fans. You could not assemble a better-looking group of super heroes. All the tight leather and hot women are perfect. God bless wonder bras and black leather. Not since Catwoman have we seen such super babes. Special mention must go out to Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and her complete lack of clothing. This is a fun movie and you should really enjoy it. The Bad: The only complaint that I have heard about this film is that many viewers wanted to see more of the mutants. They wanted to get to know them even better. I personally figure more detail with come in the sequels and there will definitely be sequels. Bottom Line: Great Comic book movie!!! Buy it Rating: Four Cocktails (super cocktails). |
