Plot: Sam Neil is tricked into returning to Jurassic Park. Naturally dinosaurs eat a large part of the adventuring party. DVD Special Features: Region 1 encoding (US and Canada only), Color, Closed-captioned, DTS Surround Sound, Widescreen, Theatrical trailer(s), Making of JPIII, Feature Commentary, New dinosaurs of JPIII , Tour of Stan Winston Studio, Visit to ILM, Dinosaur turntables, Behind-the-Scenes Montage, Storyboard Sequences, JPIII Archives, Finding New Dinosaurs, Widescreen anamorphic format Great package of special features. The behind the scenes footage is cool. The anamatronics figures and the featurettes around them are nice. The interviews with the crew are meaningless and self serving. The Good: As always the Jurassic series looks great. The dinosaurs keep getting better and better. The movement and the models keeping getting more detailed. Once this movie gets rolling its all action. The subplots were so bad that the director blew right through them. When in doubt throw in another monster/dinosaur. The Bad: Can all we possibly spend anymore time running. Way to many chases and not much else going on. Yes, the chase is a key part of this franchise but it needs to be tempered. There are so many half started sub plots it got distracting for me. What was going on with Sam Neil and his chick, never really explored? Tai Loini and William Macy had horrible chemistry and this story was really retarded in its development. Bottom Line: If you like this series give it a look. Rating: One cocktails |
