Plot: This story is told in the Pulp Fiction style. Four different stories weave the characters together. Drugs, raves, guns and gay sex all come together.DVD Special Features: Closed Captioned, Theatrical Trailers, Commentary by director, Deleted scenes, Making of Featurette. Very good special features. Definitely worth watching.
The Good: The great thing about this type of story is each part stands (more or less) on its own. The director pulled it off and this is a great movie. Go has a great out of control feel that runs through each story. Love the cast. There are no weak performances in this movie and that says something because there are a lot of cast members. I really enjoyed Jay Moher and Scott Wolf, who were very strong in this movie. I would say more but it would spoil the surprise. The Bad: The problem with this movie is that it is told in a similar style to Pulp Fiction. Many mongoloids out there will discount it as a Pulp knock off. Go can stand on its own merit and it kicks ass. Unfortunately many people may not give it respect because of the comparison. The first story with the girl and the XTC was the weakest story. I had a hard time deciding on whether I liked her or not. That’s my only criticism of the movie and even that’s probably my own personal problem. Bottom Line: Loved it…. Don’t rent it, buy it. Rating: Five Cocktails…. A Clay Pick. |
