The Good: To make the villains in this movie they needed an idea on how it should happen. The idea the writers chose was a pretty good one. It seemed believable to me, as much as these horror things can be anyway, and did a good job of driving the story.LL Cool Jay was the bomb in this film. Every time he was on screen something entertaining happened. There are a couple of really good scares in his one. The Bad: This film really struggled with continuity and plot problems. Often you have to suspend belief when watching a horror film to make the supernatural elements work. What you should have to be subjected to is suspending your belief in natural laws of physics as they pertain to non-supernatural occurrences. This film asks more than that. It asks that in every scene you’ll see something you think is stupid but just keep watching and believing. The whole thing becomes a giant "what’s wrong with this picture?" Don’t be surprised if you’ve seen a few of the scenes from some other shark movies. The Bottom Line: If you’re in high school or just don’t care what you’re looking at, you’ll love it. My Rating: 1 Cocktail for the big scare scene. |
